Help your home to shine by knowing when to clean kitchen cabinets.
When cleaning the kitchen, you generally have a mental checklist of wiping down the counters, cleaning the sink, mopping the floors, and scrubbing the stove. However, the cabinets seem to be something we all overlook, despite the fact we use them every day. Many of us also don’t stop to think about how dirty they can get. Over time, dirt, grime, wear, and tear can make the kitchen cabinets drab and dismal. To refresh your kitchen on a budget, scrub the cabinets and give them a new lick of paint.
Instead of using harsh, toxic chemicals, whip up these simple cleaning solutions instead.
Vinegar and water. Simple, yet effective. Diluted vinegar is a great solution if you’re trying to get waxy, sticky substances off the cabinets. After lightly scrubbing with the watered down vinegar, make sure to wipe the cabinet down with a wet towel.
Detergent and water. This is an excellent way to clean off your laminate cabinets. Mix one cup of dish soap for every two cups of water. Gently scrub the cabinets and wipe them down with a wet cloth. Allow them to air dry.
Wood cleaner and water. Wooden cabinets? No problem! Mix half a cup of wood cleaner and half a cup of water in a spray bottle and spray the cabinets down, one at a time. Gently scrub the cabinets with a sponge, and rinse with a clean sponge to remove the solution.
Revamp Your Cabinets. When your kitchen is looking a little lackluster, it may be time to revamp with a new cabinet finish. This look can radically transform your home, giving you the desired clean and stylish look. As a quick, easy, and affordable way to improve your home, get started today!
